Our Story

Lunar Parlor started in 2020. As the world seemed to fall apart we realized that there was no time to waste not working towards the future. In a male dominated industry that has a majority female clientele, it was time to create a comfortable space. The owner, Emily, used her decades of knowledge and passion for tattooing to create a space focused on the client experience and quality design. She then surrounded herself with people who agreed that tattooing can actually be friendly and relaxing.

Our Space

We have a philosophy of balance—a balance of old techniques and new ones, of new technology and simple comforts. Private rooms allow both privacy and full attention to your needs.

 

We are located in Nevada, IA. This location provides a convenient centralized location with a great small-town main street feel.

  • I had an amazing experience at Lunar Parlor last night! I told Emily I had an idea of what I wanted but wasn’t exactly sure how I wanted it to look and asked for her help. SHE DESIGNED THE TATTOO based on the few ideas I had. SHE IS AMAZING!!! 20/10 recommend!!!

  • This place is like no tattoo shop I've been to. I was quirky, fun, and inviting. Emily and staff were so kind and fun. During the tattoo, there was great conversation and many laughs. It was the most enjoyable tattoo experience. Not to mention that Emily did an AMAZING job covering up some aspects of a previous tattoo and creating a beautiful piece of artwork to honor my mom. I highly recommend this place!
