FAQs
When are you open?
Currently we are only open for service appointments. There is an increased risk of virus spread since we cannot maintain social distance and blood will also become airborne. Planning, design, and scheduling are all done online. Since we are going above and beyond to limit people in the building and to ensure our scheduled clients safety and privacy we will not be taking any walk-in business.
How do I schedule an appointment?
The best way to start is by contacting the shop through the digital consultation on our contact page. If you have an artist preference it will be guided to them, if you do not we will help find the best artist for your design.
How much would my tattoo cost?
Our artists mainly price each tattoo by the piece. The minimum is sixty dollars and it goes up from that based on detail, size, style, and inks. The exception is large scale work, such as sleeves and back pieces, which are charged by the hour. Our hourly costs do vary by artist and complexity, which will be established prior to starting the tattoo. To get a price quote complete the digital consultation on our contact page.
How do I get a tattoo designed?
This is what we do! Often people struggle to find a visual representation of their idea or to combine several concepts into one cohesive design. Gathering together a collection of ideas or images is the best place to start. Once we can see what you are trying to visualize and what images you are drawn to, we can take it from there. In our experience we have learned that designing together at the tattoo appointment is almost always the correct path. However, if the design isn’t exactly perfect you are under no obligation to complete the appointment.
How do I find the right artist?
Finding the right artist is the most important step when getting a tattoo; the design is important but can be printed on anything. Your skin is permanent and seeing something you don’t love every time you look in the mirror is not worth convenience or price. Check portfolios of artists to see what their style is, however, make sure to see photos they are tagged or linked to not just what they choose to show. We suggest looking at quality of their tattoos as well as design style. Things such as line work, composition, and shading technique are just as important as if they have a design similar to what you are wanting. Check reviews of artists not just shops as frequently artists can switch locations in the wake of scandal or poor quality, and shops can hire new artists with no experience under the reputation umbrella. If you are struggling to find the right artist contact shops or community pages to narrow down the search. Most importantly if any part of the process or “vibe” feels uncomfortable at your appointment, you always have the right to leave. Even if the tattoo has started or they have “invested time” in your design, you always have the right to leave.
Do you do piercings?
The short answer is no. We are experienced piercers and hope to restore that part of our careers in the near future. As things stand now in both the world and our shop it is not an option. Once it is safe and viable within our schedule we will have piercing as a service.
Why Nevada?
This is a question we get surprisingly often. Most of our clients travel in to get tattooed, so we were wanted to make that as easy as possible. This town is easy to get to, easy to travel in, and does not have the parking/traffic issues of larger towns. We love the small town “Main St.” vibe and think it is an important addition to the costumer service experience.
